A screensaver is a graphical program that is on your computer that is used to keep ghosted images off of the screen. Though this was the main reason they were used, now people use them mainly for pleasure and entertainment. It is really neat how your computer program knows that your PC has not had activity on it for a while and then it turns your screensaver on automatically. You have the option of choosing how long you want for it to take before your screensaver comes on. If the screensaver pops on and you’re not ready for it too, then all you have to do is simple move the cursor of the mouse and it will deactivate it for the time that you are using your computer.
There are so many hot screensavers out there that are preferred the most by screensaver lovers all over the world. One of the most popular ones is the kind that is a color object, such as a 3D ball that rotates or appears and spins and disintegrates into a hundred pieces right before your eyes. People find this one to be absolutely amazing! There is another one that leaves your screen blank for a moment and then it draws itself onto your screen. There are so many different ones that are considered to be hot screensavers, and they are all mostly animated or 3D. Nowadays, though screensavers are quite popular, a lot of people don’t really even bother to download them, they just end up using the ones that are already on their computers. It does not hurt every now and then to take the time and try something new though. A couple of the main reasons that people wont download screensavers is because one, the good ones that are 3D take up a lot of space and often will cause your computer to freeze up. The second reason is because a lot of the screensavers that are made free and readily available to download contain viruses that can ruin your computer. No one wants to take the time to mess with something that will put their computer at risk, though I cannot say that there aren’t those screensavers that don’t have viruses on them, because there are, you will just have to look harder for them, and possibly pay a small fee for one.
